Velvet Rose AND her family is spectacular in every way. She stood proudly as I accepted her Grand Championship at The
Futurity in 2002.
In 1999 her dam, Royal Velvet won The Grand Championship as well.
Huckleberry Rose, her daughter, won the same Grand Championship at the Futurity in '05 and they all enabled Mary's Alpaca to be named Small Breeder of the Year multiple times. Perfect conformation and upright carriage with large bone characterize her frame.
Genetically, Velvet is 3/4 Accoyo.
She's bred to Peruvian Magnum, an Alianza fawn son of Misty Maiden, himself a multiple Grand Champion in halter at The AOBA Nationals and Winner of Spirit of the Industry Fiber Award, the highest recognition a fleece can attain.
