We got what we were breeding for - Dark Rose Grey or indefinate grey (depending on the light at the show)! Sebastiana's color genetic background is wonderful for replicating grey and black. Awesome color and fleece quality - crimpy, dense, and fine! Imagine the breeding possibilities in the future! Sebastiana did well at regional and national shows and her first two crias are outstanding!

Sebastiana hails from our former Medium Rose Grey herdsire Gandalf, who garnered many blue ribbons himself and produced our Color Champion herdsire Aragorn. On Sebastiana's maternal side, we have the black Peruvian influence of blue ribboned MA Peruvian Tomba and PPPeruvian Inca. The layers of rich color genetics and combining of the Peruvian, Chilean and Bolivian pedigrees have created a stellar female with terrific production record!

In 2006, Aragorn, Sebastiana, and CocoKhan represented Fireweed in Breeder's Best Award and we placed 2nd in a very large class of highly respected, well financed, and long time breeders showing mostly white and light fawn. This was the first time we have had 3 Born/Bred offspring to show in this event and we were THRILLED to place 2nd with dark rich colors in such a tough field. We specialize in alpacas of color and competing against top end whites/lights and coming out with a top placing was a great achievement.

Sebastiana is being sold with her true black male cria, FWD Sharif (DOB 5/28/09) by her side. He is a son of Azizi's Avilon who has won 6 blue ribbons in halter classes. Avilon is out of Color Champion producer, Avatar & with another Color Champion Producer, Lanark's Silver Charm on his maternal line.
